These gorgeous one-of-a-kind Handquilted Kantha Bags measure 20" wide by 12" tall - the perfect multipurpose size. Use it for everyday life, a weekend adventure or a slumber party with friends. Made from recycled ralli quilts in West Bengal, India, Kantha refers to the method with which these quilts are made. All fabric used is made from recycled saris or quilts. Each bag is fully lined with suede handles, a zippered closure and a zipped inside pocket. Each piece is indiviudual and unique, please remember that "flaws" are considered an integral and beautiful part of the design.

These bags are created through a Fair Trade cooperative of women in India. This work allows the women to work at home or close to home which reduces the need for expensive child care and the costly separation of families.
